Too Faced Lip Injection Color Burst Review

Today I am reviewing the Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb in the shade, Candy Burst.  It’s a beautiful warm pink with a total kick of spice. Actually, I am not kidding, this lippie will make your lips feel like you have kissed the corner of a jalopeño pepper. That might be a slight exaggeration, but my lips were definitely talking after about 10 seconds. I have never tried a lip plumping lippie that wasn’t slightly uncomfortable…sigh…the things we do for beauty. Meh (snapping out of it), I have had my lips poked with needles in an effort to resemble Angelina Jolie. Turns out I actually looked more like Ducky.

Have you tried the Too Faced Lip Injection, Color Bomb’s before?

 Experience.Thoughts.Opinions

I give the color on this lippie on A+, it’s absolutely stunning. I have worn it a ton without any other makeup on and it really brightens up my face. It’s perfect for my skin tone, and I think it would look great on about 90% of other people (that’s the makeup artists side of me talking). But while I like the color, the lip-plumping side effect are a little annoying.  My lips were definitely burning, which is normal for lip plumpers and the reason why I have never been much of a fan. I just feel like they don’t do much, and the effect doesn’t last that long for me. You can see in the pic above that it did give me some plumping, which is what the product say’s it will do.

As far as lip moisutrizing goes, I will give that a B. If I had chapped or dry lips, this would not be what I would run to for a cure. In my opinions, the lip burning sensation negated the feeling of moisturized lips. But after the burn went away, my lips were definitely soft and kissable.

With all of that said, if you are someone who likes lip plumpers, I think you should give it a go. If you are someone who doesn’t like them, maybe choose something else from Too Faced like the La Crème.

Pro: Color is beautiful!

Con: My lips are on fire!
