There are two major things you should know about me when it comes to beautyish things: 1) I am a lipstick/glossaholic 2) I have more eyeshadows than I know what to do with.
So naturally when shopping at my mini “get-away”, Target, with my two daughters in tow…I land in the beauty department. I specifically went there to get more of the L’Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow and gloss, because apparently one is not enough for me. I went back and forth on that decision, and finally landed on the fact that I really did need to have the Neon Skirt Eyeshadow Palette and Pink Perseverance gloss. They were literally calling my name.
Next on my Target list was getting some baby necessities that I was running low on. However, traveling that way would put me right in the path of jewelry, which of course is a danger zone for me. I spot this gorgeous yellow and turquoise beaded-bracelet montage. Umm, yes, you are coming home with me. Unfortunately in that same department was this green and turquise, Mossimo Envelope Wallet that is sure to add a pop of color to any outfit. Yeah, that came home too.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Caress Aqua Lip Lacquer in Pink Perseverance and my bracelet found at Target but not on-line (sorry).
I think what attracted me to the L’Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow in Neon Skirt, was the extreme vibrance. I like a pop of color now and then.
I chose these two because I thought they would create a nice look.
If you are going to wear eye-shadows that are on the bolder spectrum of things, I would try to keep your clothes a little more subtle in color. Then you can pair that “poppy” eye with a colorful bracelet or clutch. In my case, I am rocking both.
Eyeshadow Swatches
Four Different Looks
1) Press #2 onto the entire eyelid, top to bottom. Then sweep #4 into your natural crease.
Finish The Look: Add two coats of the L’Oreal Million Lashes mascara in Carbon Black..
2) Press #2 under brow bone and on lower eyelid. Then Sweet #4 into natural crease and pat carefully #4 to outside corner of lower eyelid. Then use #4 and trace it along your lower lash-line.
Finish The Look: Very carefully line the upper lash-line with L’Oreal Prescision Liquid Liner in Carbon Black. Then add on two coats of the Million Lashes Mascara.
3) Press #2 under brow bone. Press #1 onto entire lower eyelid. Line upper lash line with Precision Liquid Liner, then trace over that with #3, giving the liner a green tint.
Finish The Look: Next add 3 coats of Million Lashes Mascara.
4) Press #2 under brow bone. Wet a flat eyeshadow brush and dip it into #3. Press that onto the entire lower-lashline, giving the shadow a more vibrant shade. Now use #4 in the natural crease of the eyelid.
Finish The Look: Next line your upper and lower lash-line with the Precision Liquid Line and add 3 to 4 coats of Million Lashes Mascara.
Overall
I had fun experimenting with these shades. With that said, I had a hard time getting them to stay really vibrant on my eyelids so I would suggest using a primer. As far as the gloss goes, I said this on my last L’Oreal post, it does a great job of doubling as a blush tint as well.
Will I buy again? Maybe in more of the neutral choices.
note: This is not a payed post and I did not get asked to write this. I just really like Target and these eyeshadow/lipgloss choices. All thoughts and opinions are of course, my own.
