Today I am doing a try on haul of what’s in my closet and I didn’t have a ton of time, so I only chose five outfit combinations. Do you ever walk into your closet and your instantly bored and you feel like you have nothing to wear? I did that today, and honestly, it’s a little ridiculous because I have a walk-in closet filled with clothes. This self-assessment means I am either easily bored with my wardrobe, or I’m a spoiled brat. Or maybe I like fashion and piecing outfits together and my creative side wants to have new options to play within the clothing department. I will go with that last option.
Do you like try on hauls? I think it’s fun to see how different people fit into different clothes and how they style them. My style is somewhere between monochromatic-minimalist and bohemian. Is that even a real combination? I am my own person, so it’s hard to nail down my exact style in comparison with every blogger out there. But if I could identify with one blogger’s style, it would be Sincerely Jules. She’s not basic…but she can pull of “basic” and make it look like a million dollars.
With that said, here are a few things I had in my closet that I styled for the week. It’s kind of nice knowing what I will be wearing every day.
Here is an essential everyday outfit that I wear at least once a week I swear. I am wearing the green utility jacket I purchased several years ago (here is a similar style on major sale), my white Paige Jeans, white booties from the Nordstrom Sale, White Henley from the Nordstrom Sale, and a black and white plaid button up that has been around for a while.
I like this outfit because it’s edgy and doesn’t scream that I am in-fact a mom of three. I love the detail in pattern play, and my combat boots are a major win for me this season. I got the boots and the camo skirt from Target, white top from somewhere I can’t remember and the long black sweater from Forever21.
Remember this floral Kimono? Yeah, it’s not going anywhere. I’ve worn this Kimono cardigan as a swimsuit cover up and outfit essential. My pants are from Paige and were a splurge. My white slides I found at Target for six dollars and my “Savage” t-shirt is also from Target and I’m obsessed with it.
I feel like there are many shoe options for this look you could try. I used my combat boots because I was in the mood. But, this high-waisted denim skirt option paired with this Raven and Lily long-sleeved, cropped t-shirt could be worn with slides, laced up tennies, and even some cute heels.
I threw on my Sherpa jacket I got from Last years Abercrombie and Fitch sale. I wish they still had this in stock because it’s so cozy and I love the way it looks.
Last up; I’m showing off the back of these pants. You can’t see the front, but I am wearing a “Real Mother” t-shirt with my black Adidas workout leggings and this long cardigan I got from the Evereve Boutique over the summer. This cardigan has been my most worn cardigan of the season; it’s so-dang-soft and goes with a million things.
What do you have in your closet that you forgot about?
xo,
Kendra
